<p>Mind over matter is a term commonly used, although it is not generally thought of as being anything more than a phrase. This phrase was well-known by the ancient people during the Age of Enlightenment. It was believed that with mind control over body humans can do extraordinary things. There are situations that are beyond normal understanding of human beings and these were things associated to abnormality and spirituality. For example one would not feel pain under extremely hot substances such as fire or hot water. The person would not feel pain in the body because it has been over powered by the brain not to think negatively or feel the pain. Hence, mind over matter activities can increase brain function.</p>
<p>Mind over matter makes the body get numb or not feel the pain that is usually caused by the external factors. In this state also, a person can gain positive energy if they focus on thoughts in a positive way. It is within the power of thinking that man is continuously developing to achieve extra things in life. Man also does all these things to gain more power in society. The continuous domination of the mind can result in a positive or negative effect on humans. As long as the motive is good, then it will reflect in the result. Until this day, man keeps on discovering to quench his thirst for knowledge and to achieve his success and power.</p>
<p>In the world we live there are a lot of unbelievable circumstances in society that cannot be understood by anyone but only for those who have faith on it. Most people believe that one should be responsible for their own actions because  the mind is the exerting force to any human deeds. Man takes the lead in making choices in their lives. Man believes that mind can be tampered when success has been realized. Generally a person will stand whatever comes  their way to success because once they inculcate in their minds that they can achieve something in life, they will concentrate on the idea until it becomes reality.</p>
<p>On the contrary, even though a person&#8217;s tries to concentrates to get impossible things he or she wants in life through imagination, still cannot be done. In some cases, it is not true that whatever man believes all comes true because some things can be only in his imagination or illusions that remain redundant. Man has the power to change his mind by making a choice whether to feel happy or sad. Man has the capabilities to use all the functions of his senses in the body. Man can also control certain actions in such specific state of mind and it can be open to suggestions from other people.</p>
<p>The assumptions of the mind being more powerful than matter can be changed depending on one&#8217;s mind set. Man is able to relax his mind by allowing taking control of his conscience and actions. It is believed that when man imagines about something it is already achieved. But we must also know what illusion is and how it is differ from the reality of man&#8217;s world. Mind over matter is someone&#8217;s thought since there are certain forces that drive man to do other things. It is in the individual&#8217;s hand whether and how he wants to increase his brain function and it is in each act how man wants the result to be.</p>

<p><strong>1. <span style="color: #993300;">Learn to be focused in anything you do</span></strong></p>
<p>Focus happens when you are working to your goals without any distraction in any way whatsoever. You are fixated on the task at hand, and keep going on that task until 100% complete. To keep working on your goal like this is by far the best way to develop superior focus.</p>
<p>It has been said that the harder you work, the more focused your mind becomes. This is completely true. If you were to invest as much of your time as possible in working to your goals, you will find that you enter &#8220;the zone&#8221; of peak performance, which is the most important mental state around for getting real success in life.</p>
<p>Focus can also be developed by using meditation exercises. You can do this for 10-20 minutes per day. The important thing is quality of focus rather than quantity. A 10 minute power meditation session is enough to give enough positive influence for the rest of your day.</p>
<p>Focus is definitely something that takes practise to fully master. You need to be putting in the effort to remain focused every single day and eventually it will become a super habit that constantly pushes you to your goals all the time. It is the power of your thoughts and the momentum this has generated that is allowing you to constantly make massive progress to your goals.</p>
<p><strong>2. <span style="color: #993300;">Learn to follow a routine</span></strong></p>
<p>For success to arise as quickly as possible, the mind must be efficient and organised. When this happens, you create powerful habits that enhance your success.</p>
<p>Following a routine means getting up at the same time every morning, working to your goals at the same time making a plan of action of what you are going to do, every single day. The more you make all of this a habit, the more you will automatically be doing all of the things that can allow for your success to happen.</p>
<p>We recommend that you plan each of your days activities in advance. This will mean you save time and energy having to think about what to do the next day. You will naturally just follow through with your plan in a simple and efficient manner when it is written down on paper. As always, following simple actions and making your plan as simple, yet effective as possible will help reinforce your mental efficiency and focus.</p>
<p>These two tips on their own are enough to transform your life. It may be simple, but that is how it needs to be to create maximum effectiveness. There is enormous power in simplicity.</p>

<p>Non-spiritual, non-denominational and non-judgemental. Just a voice that is wise and kind. An internal voice that is your connection to all that is, all that has been and all that will be. <strong>YOU</strong></p>
<p>As humans we are evolving. Evolution is slow and often painful as you look to your neighbour to see how far they have come. Competition does not come into evolution.</p>
<p>Competition is merely a comparison of where you are, compared with someone else to inflate or deflate you. Be happy with your own growth.</p>
<p>Everyone changes and develops at different rates according to the right speed set by the individual and the collective. Some are more advanced than others and some are less. Think of it as a journey of Self Discovery. Your own personal discovery, about you, even though you feel you are the only one discovering you are not alone, we are all in this together the past, present and future.</p>
<p>Behind the mind, the egoic one that says, &#8220;You are, you aren&#8217;t, you can, you can&#8217;t,&#8221; is the soul. One mind connecting you to all. Without that you feel alone, lost and lonely. Connect to your soul and become emotionally whole. No more incompleteness waiting for that missing part. You are a whole human being and through your wholeness can come many amazing things.</p>
<p><strong>We all have the power to see, hear and know the future.</strong></p>
<p> This kind of ability is not to be sniffed at. In the wrong hands it can bring a lot of pain. The skills of discernment, self-assurance, competence, self-love and trust go hand in hand. Sometimes the future comes shortly after the initial &#8216;thought&#8217; or &#8216;insight&#8217; other times it comes years after. Patience is also a good skill to develop because you are going to need it!</p>
<p>You, however, may just be a beginner and may now start to be recognising more the feeling of &#8216;déjà vu&#8217; been there and done this before, kind of sense when the future links into the present and happens now. This is how you start to trust it is true.</p>
<p>This is your mind revealing to you that there is a lot more exploring to be done.</p>
<p>The power of your mind is <strong>incredible</strong>. Not the words that you hear and wish would stop inside your head, that&#8217;s the tiny one. No. It&#8217;s more the voice that comes from within the heart and rarely gets heard. Scratch the surface of anyone and you will start to find that behind their mask, projected false realities and acts there is a lot more. Just lying, waiting to be tapped into and discovered.</p>
<p>Have patience and awareness and the magic of you will gratefully and graciously start to unfold. Rush and you will miss the beauty of discovery and the purpose of life its self.</p>

<p>Personal power is something that many people think they can get by controlling or manipulating others. Actually, power comes from being personal power. It&#8217;s a quality of radiance. I would not call power over others, personal power. I see that as mere force, based in scarcity and fear mentality. Do you realize that &#8220;survival of the fittest&#8221; is really just a paradigm? Science already shows that there is no &#8220;objective&#8221; reality, and Einstein said long ago &#8220;reality is an illusion; albeit a very persistent one.&#8221;</p>
<p>It&#8217;s persisted because we have very little if any awareness of how we are creating it via our perception. It is time for a more collaborative reality, one that encourages innovation and adaptability instead of encouraging competition and hoarding resources. Our feelings play a more powerful role in our experience of perception than mere thinking alone. In fact, the magnetic energy of feeling is about 5,000 times greater than thought. This is one reason why simply saying, &#8220;I think I can&#8221; without feeling you can typically doesn&#8217;t yield the results you are after.</p>
<p>Personal power stems from joy, peace and a sense of spaciousness, expansiveness, and appreciation. When we appreciate our self, other people, our service to others, the good in our life, and our amazing universe, we feel more vitality, have more energy, and we shine. We have more influence than when we do the opposite of this list. True personal power is about influence and inspiring others, not intimidating others. We can get more done with less effort. What keeps us from feeling good? What keeps our energy low and stuck? If I had to say one word, it would be &#8220;conditioning.&#8221;</p>
<p>Once we are conditioned as children to reject our feelings, particularly when shamed, it can set us on a life-long course to stuff and avoid them. This is very unwise, as repressed feelings not only are unhealthy, they cover over our sense of joy and connection to life. This will impact your finances typically in a negative way (in the form of lack or greed), your quality of relationships, and even your health.</p>
<p>James Brown, the &#8220;King of Soul,&#8221; used to sing &#8220;I feel good,&#8221; and that was one man with a lot of energy. In fact, as I recall, he danced all the way to the end of his life. He obviously loved what he did and it showed. He also had a lot of charisma and personal power.</p>
<p>Feel good. Life is too short as it is to have to cut it short with disease and misery just because you have a misperception that feelings are bad. No, feelings are a part of being human. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The first step in manifesting the desires of your heart is that you first have to &#8220;ask&#8221; for what you want. Sometimes we forget that step. You see, without asking, you will receive no answer. It&#8217;s important, however, to note that before asking comes a sort of &#8220;pre-step&#8221; which is actually sitting down and figuring out exactly what the desires of your heart are.</p>
<p><span style="color: #993300;"><em><strong>Think and Grow Rich</strong></em></span></p>
<p>&#8220;The imagination is literally the workshop wherein are fashioned all plans created by man.&#8221; &#8220;It has been said that man can create anything which he can imagine.&#8221; This means that whatever you can &#8220;visualize&#8221; as being possible in your life, IF you believe, you can achieve it.</p>
<p><em><strong><span style="color: #993300;">What is a belief?</span></strong></em></p>
<p>A thought that you repeat over and over until it turns into a belief. All thoughts carry a vibrational energy to them. That vibrational frequency is attracting that which you are &#8220;thinking&#8221; about. Unfortunately, many of us think about what we don&#8217;t want and therefore what we &#8220;don&#8217;t want&#8221; is drawn unto us.</p>
<p>What you currently have and are experiencing in your life is a direct result of the law of attraction. Just like the law of gravity works whether or not you believe in it, so does the law of attraction.</p>
<p>The Law of Attraction says, &#8220;that which is likened unto itself is drawn, or in other words, &#8220;you get what you think about whether you want it or not!&#8221;</p>
<p>According to the authors and the teachings of Abraham, there are 3 steps to the law of attraction and learning to manifest your desires.</p>
<p>THREE STEPS:</p>

<ol>
<li><strong>You Ask</strong> &#8211; This is your work and it requires action on your part. That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s important to do the pre-step and sit down and write out what you really want in your life. Everything is possible.</li>
<li><strong>The Universe Answers</strong> &#8211; The answer is given (not your work); Step 2 is the work of the &#8220;non-physical&#8221;, the work of the &#8220;God Force&#8221;. Although all questions are answered and every desire is given, it may be hindered because of your inability to complete Step 3&#8230;</li>
<li><strong>You Allow it In</strong> &#8211; This is the application of what&#8217;s known as the &#8220;<em>art of allowing.</em> It has to do with the matching of the vibrational frequency of your Being to match the vibrational frequency of that which you desire. So unless you are in the receiving mode, then your questions and desires will not be answered or fulfilled (they were heard, but because your vibrations are not a match, you are in essence, not letting them in.)</li>
</ol>

<p> So, let&#8217;s review&#8230; you only have 2 steps, the asking part and the allowing part. Seems pretty straight-forward, right?</p>
<p>It truly is, but here&#8217;s where most of us get hung up and these are the things that actually prevent us from manifesting the desires of our heart:</p>
<ul>
<ul>
<li><strong>Telling your story</strong> &#8211; For example, the &#8220;I&#8217;m broke story.&#8221; You cannot continue to point out the absence of something you want without holding yourself in resistance to that which you want. So you need to stop talking about the story of &#8220;what is&#8221; if you want something to change.</li>
<li><strong>Forgetting the time-gap </strong>- Often we ask for something we want and because there is a time gap from the time we ask to the time we receive, instead of focusing our attention purely on the desire itself, we go back to the &#8220;lack of&#8221; the desire and then we end up attracting that. When you are more aware of what you don&#8217;t want, then what you do want cannot come into your life.</li>
<li><strong>Your Emotions </strong>- Our emotions will actually tell us exactly what is going on when it comes to the law of attraction. If we are feeling bad we are not in alignment with what we want; if we are feeling good about it, then we are in alignment with our desires.</li>
<li><strong>Trying to Control your Thoughts</strong> &#8211; Instead of trying to &#8220;force&#8221; or &#8220;control&#8221; your thoughts, try simply reaching for a good feeling about that which you desire and that will guide your thoughts in a more natural way.</li>
</ul>
</ul>
<p> So your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to write down 3 things you want in your life. It can be for material things or a situation to improve, a relationship or a health issue. Write it down now.</p>
<p>Remember, you only have 2 jobs to manifest your desires (and you just completed the first job, which is asking.) Now your second job is to &#8220;allow&#8221; and how do you allow your desires in? By focusing on the desire (not the lack of it in your life) and to reach for good feelings as a way to guide your thoughts back to the desires of your heart.</p>
<p>Repeated thoughts = Beliefs.</p>
<p>Beliefs = Manifestation of our Desires.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll end with a beautiful quote from Buddha:</p>

<p>Self-esteem is about feeling good enough for who you are rather than what you do. (Self-confidence on the other hand is about feeling competent, i.e. feeling sure of yourself that you can successfully accomplish tasks.) Feeling valuable without doing anything can be a great challenge because we are so used to doing.</p>
<p>Most of us spend most of our time doing things. We make breakfast, we work, we keep the house tidy, we go shopping, we improve our homes, we travel, we develop ourselves. We are so used to doing that we define ourselves by what we do. &#8220;I&#8217;m a doctor&#8221;, &#8220;I&#8217;m a teacher&#8221;, &#8220;I&#8217;m a carpenter&#8221;. Because we are so used to doing and to defining ourselves by what we do, it can be difficult to feel good about ourselves when we do not do anything.</p>
<p>I was recently reminded of the difficulty of feeling good enough for being rather than doing when my daughter was born. Although I meditate, practise mindfulness and other practices that develops my ability to &#8220;just be&#8221;, I was surprised when the days passed so quickly without me having done anything. Life with my newborn was all about breastfeeding, comforting her when she was crying and trying to get some sleep whenever possible. I was used to setting and accomplishing goals in each category of my life (work, family, friends, health etc.) every day. This did not fit into my new life with my young daughter. I had to learn to feel great about myself even though I was &#8220;only&#8221; taking care of my child (and what could be more important?!).</p>
<p>Most of us probably know that we are good enough, but we don&#8217;t feel it. We need to practise it to learn to know it not just in our heads but also in our hearts.</p>
<p>Take a moment every day when you stop everything you are doing. Don&#8217;t think about what you have done earlier or what you are going to do next. Focus only on how you feel, and try to fill yourself with a feeling of being a great person. Don&#8217;t think &#8220;I am a great person because I have&#8230;&#8221;. You don&#8217;t need a reason for why you are great. You are great because you are born. To not think of reasons to why you are great is difficult but self-esteem must be in the heart, not in the head.</p>

If you do not know how to say no you are in danger of spending your valuable life doing things that are not important to you.</p>
<p>There are basically two different situations in which you have to say no:</p>
<p>(1) When somebody asks you to do something that you do not feel like doing.<br />
(2) When you start doing something that you do not actually want to do, perhaps out of habit or because you suspect that others expect you to do it.</p>
<p>For some people it is more difficult to say no in the first situation and other find it more difficult to say no in the second situation. Both situations are equally important because the point of saying no is to give you more time to spend on activities that are valuable to you and increase your well-being.</p>
<p>Saying no, especially saying no when others ask you for favours, can be scary if you have low self-esteem. You may worry that others will think that you are impolite, unhelpful, selfish or simply unkind. If your self-esteem is high you will worry less about other people&#8217;s opinions of you and it will be easier to say no. However, the more you practise saying no, the easier it will get and your self-esteem will increase.</p>
<p>Some tips for how to say no without feeling impolite or scared:</p>
<ul>
<li>It is OK to make up white lies about why you cannot do what others ask you to do as long as you are truthful to yourself. Respecting yourself is most important. Once you feel more confident about saying no you will be able to simply state that you do not want to do the task without making up any reasons as to why.</li>
<li>If you are invited to a party or some other event that you do not want to attend, you can say &#8220;No, but thank you very much for the invitation. That is very kind of you.&#8221; In this way you pull the focus away from the reason to why you do not want to attend, and instead focus on making the person who invited you feel like a kind person. By turning the rejection into a compliment like this you might manage to raise the other person&#8217;s self-esteem, and if you manage that you have indeed done a very good deed.</li>
<li>When you say no and you want to give a reason for doing so without lying you can actually tell the truth. Simply state that you don&#8217;t like doing X, that you don&#8217;t feel like doing X, that X doesn&#8217;t interest you, or that you would rather do something else than X. You can even tell the person &#8220;I want to raise my self-esteem and therefore I have decided to say no to as many things as possible so that I can spend more time on myself&#8221;. When you say no in this way, people will see that you respect yourself, and as a result they will also pay you more respect. The more you respect yourself, the more respect you will get from others.</li>
<li>My fourth suggestion is to just do it. You may feel embarrassed at first, but this is no reason for not saying no. You don&#8217;t always have to justify yourself by giving a reason as to why you don&#8217;t want to do something. Just say no. Don&#8217;t make it more complicated than it is. The more you practise the easier it will get. Feel proud of yourself for being strong enough to say no.</li>
</ul>
<p> Learning to say no to what does not bring any value to your life is very important for your self-esteem. Increase your self-respect by only giving of your valuable time to what is important to you.</p>

<p>Absentmindedness can be a problem for many people, it can be very frustrating, embarrassing and sometimes dangerous.</p>
<p>Do you have trouble staying focused on the task at hand?  This is a problem experienced by many people. Have you ever walked into a room, stopped, and couldn&#8217;t remember why you went there? Don&#8217;t worry you are not alone but there are ways to improve mental alertness, through exercise. Yes, I hear you, no not that one again, but seriously, exercise releases a chemical in your brain that helps you become more alert, not only while you are exercising but for the remainder of the day.</p>
<p>It does not have to be boring, if you are not a runner, like myself, ok for those of you who love to pound the pavements. Dance around with the children a truly great way to exercise and have a laugh at the same time and release some of those endorphins, you will be surprised how good it makes you feel. You will also sleep better, and wake refreshed maintaining a higher level of mental performance.</p>
<p>Stimulating your mind each day by learning something new is another good way to increase your mental alertness. Whether you do a crossword puzzle, or watch an interested documentary, learn a new language, by challenging your mind to take in new information not only means that you will learn new things, but as an added benefit, you will also acquire a higher level of mental alertness.</p>
<p>It only takes a little effort each day, get into a routine and stick to it. Within a couple of days you will experience an improvement.</p>

I feel every single persons goals will be different, our goals and aspirations will reflect who we are, where we are and what we are wanting out of life and ourselves. Goal setting therefore is an individual thing, that each of us must decide and act upon in order to achieve them. <p>This is an old favourite of personal development, I am sure we have all thought about this at one point or another in our lives. We see someone who floats our boat, who makes us go weak at the knees. Someone who makes us lose the ability to say anything rational to the point we end up saying something that makes us look like fools. Admit it, we have all done it. This becomes an area where personal development and goal setting come into place. Your personal development goal could be to work on your confidence to the point that you can be yourself in the company of someone you are attracted to. You can give the other person a good impression of who you are and what you are all about, instead of perhaps the first impression of a bumbling fool.</p>

<li><span style="color: #ff0000;">I mproving Our Promotion Prospects In Our Working Environments </span></li>

<p>We sometimes forget the importance of personal development when it comes to getting promotions at work. We often think that being good at your role and being better than others in that role is the reason we get promoted. In many companies this may actually be true. I however feel that is only half the equation. Personal development also means understanding that promotion is also about leading others, about inspiring others and about getting others to give their best for you and the company. Realising that being good at your position isn&#8217;t the only thing, it is a good starting block though. Again if promotion is something you really want, then setting personal development goals to help in your growth in the job is something you should seriously consider and undertake.</p>

<p>Why is this important? Think about this statement and then have a look at your own life. &#8216; We become the average of the five people who surround ourselves with the most &#8216;. What does that mean to you? How I interpret that is that my life will reflect or mirror the lives of the five people who are most influential in my life. For instance: If I hang around with five people who are positive, happy and healthy, than I will naturally be more attracted to those aspects. Subconsciously my mind is being hit with positive thoughts and actions, I see happiness every day and health becomes something I take for granted as I see it, hear it and partake in it with the other five people. This makes my main thoughts all about these and so I become more of those very things. Turn that around to any other situation and the same rules apply. Are you someone who is drunk a lot? If so, do the five people you hang around with get drunk a lot also? Do you actually find you are a very negative person, do you find you think you can&#8217;t do things? Do the five people who you are most around say and do those very things? Goal setting and as hard as it is sometimes, being realistic with yourself and saying OK I want this in my life or I want to work and be able to do that in my life. Then you are going to have to make changes if you haven&#8217;t got those things. Goal setting in personal development and befriending people who help not hinder your growth is key.</p>
